Professional Experience
Mr. DeBlois is one of the senior partners and cofounders of DeBlois et Associés, Barristers and Solicitors, L.L.P.
He works with provincial customers and mainly performs in Commercial Law, focusing on fiscal and commercial planning, buying and selling enterprises, merging and reorganizing businesses, and agreements and disputes between shareholders. He also acts as a commercial agent and develops Real Estate Law and franchising. He is a member of the board of directors of certain enterprises and helps many companies with their commercial transactions as a legal advisor.
He also acts as a speaker for health-insurance companies and self-insurance brokers.
He is a member of the Comité de prévention et d’entraide pour les présidents et hauts dirigeants des Parcs Industriels de Québec and works on the enterprisers relief, on their fiscal and estate planning and the protection of their business.
Professional Activities
Me DeBlois taught Corporate Law at the École du Barreau du Québec, at the Faculté de droit and the Faculté de commerce of the Université Laval during many years.
He was the administrator of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF) for many years, and was also a regular speaker at many colloquiums for that association.
He represented federal and provincial Crown Corporations time and again in major transactions..
He acted as a legal advisor for the Bomem inc. company when it joined the Stock Market in 1987 and also was administrator and legal advisor of that company for many years.
