Professional Experience

As soon as he joined the Barreau, Mr. Baker was recruited by one of the most famous firms within the Quebec City region, which later on became one of the most important firms in Canada. He was one of the partners there, before he joined the DeBlois et Associés, Barristers and Solicitors, L.L.P. firm.  His practice then converged to Commercial, Corporate and Insurance Law.

He is one of the senior partners of DeBlois et Associés, Barristers and Solicitors, L.L.P.

He took part in many commercial transactions and acted as a legal advisor to help major financial institutions for business financing, especially for food and real estate businesses.

Furthermore, he represents many small and medium enterprises for commercial transactions and for corporate and litigation matters.

Professional and Communal Activities

Well-known for his Insurance Law skills, Mr. Baker gave many lectures and qualifying classes in that field.  He also gave many lectures on Corporate Law and Banking Law.

He was a member of many boards of directors for non-profit organizations.
